News - 2006 Fall Newsletter

Another dance year has begun and we are already moving into the Fall season. Classes are in full swing and before you know it the Christmas Show will upon us. Yikes… did we say Christmas!

Just a few reminders about studio events and upcoming Holidays this month. Our new website is up and running and we are encouraging everyone to check it on a regular basis for an ongoing reference to our Calendar of Events and any upcoming studio events you should be aware of.

By now we expect that all students have the required attire and shoes for classes. Please check our Dress Code and Policy form if you are still uncertain. Our policies and dress code are in place for student's safety, security and well-being so please make sure you are constantly aware of them. Please continue to direct any questions or concerns to the studio Directors only. Teachers should not be interrupted during classes or in between classes as there is limited time. Please check the office for someone to speak with or leave us a message and we will schedule a convenient time to meet with you.

In reference to our Christmas Show, we will begin working on routines for this performance in the upcoming weeks. Please inform us now if your child will be unable to participate in the Christmas Show. It is essential that teachers be aware of who will not be attending as they will choreograph routines accordingly. More information about the Show will go out in November's newsletter.

Please also be aware that Recital Costume Fees will be due before the Christmas Holidays this year. We do have to order costumes by the end of December so we are asking that you have your fees in before the holidays begin. We will not order costumes that have not been paid for which will in turn not guarantee that those costumes will be ready in time for Picture Day. Please refer to all of the required dates/rehearsal for the Recital now and speak with us if you have any further questions.

Upcoming Student Events & Holidays

Bring a Friend Week

This is the week where all of our students are able to invite a friend to come to dance class with them. Please limit your guests to 1 friend as we do have a lot of students to accommodate. Friends will attend and participate in regular dance classes, so please inform them to wear comfortable clothing that they feel good moving in.

Bring A Friend Week is also a good time for any student to try out a new class that they have been wishing to take. Please ask your teachers for appropriate levels and times of classes you are interested in.

Of course any students wishing to pick up another class, or for any new students, we do have classes that are now full, so Registration is still subject to availability.

This is open to any Recreational level classes only - not Company A, B & C Jazz/Ballet classes or Production Class. Any Company student is welcome to bring a friend to any of their Recreational classes they take or come to another class.

Saturday October 28th - Halloween Dress Up Day
Any Recreational student is welcome to wear their Halloween costumes to class this day. Please make sure it is still appropriate to dance in.

Tuesday October 31st - No classes for Halloween

December - Recital Costume Fees Due
Recital costumes range in price between $70-$90 plus GST per class. Costume fees are non-refundable.

Sunday December 17th @ 2:00pm - Christmas Show 'Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree'
Christmas Show will be held at the Armenian Youth Center, located at Victoria Park and the 401. Parking is free. Tickets will go on sale in November.
